A little about academic, artistic & magickal background.  Some biographical stuff & some perspectives on creative art. Pics of artist

GALLERIES  There are 3 seperate Galleries nestled here!

GALLERY 1 showcases paintings, drawings & illustration. The oil paintings are quite large in size, as are the charcoal & chalk drawings. Original pen & ink/pencil/acrylic  illustrations are either A3 or A4. A mix of genres here - shamanic/pagan/magickal, Butoh, surreal & semi-abstract.  Some pure abstract work is awaiting inclusion.

GALLERY 2 contains images of sculptural pieces. The majority of these are between 21- 36 cm high, with a couple of exceptions. Various mediums were used to create these - polymer clay, pavapol, cloth, mohair, glass beads, vinyl doll parts  & found objects. Some are designed for altars & are based on pagan Gods & Goddesses, a couple inspired by Butoh & others depict dancers or lovers.

GALLERY 3 displays card  &  calendar designs. Artwork for the pagan seasonals/festivals & those for the Four Elements are photo-manipulations. The designs for Tarot & the Celtic Ogham Moon Calendar have been executed in pen & ink.

WRITINGS  Three distinct catergories are included!

SHORT STORIES reproduces extracts from selected stories synthasised from personal shamanic experiences.  The majority of the works selected have been published in Michael Malifaco Pendragon's SONGS OF INNOCENCE, a U.S. journal (the author retaining copyright).

PERFORMANCE TEXTS  One performance text on site at the moment (more to come). This one is a homage to the Irish playwright Samuel Beckett.  Due to unforeseen circumstances the piece was never staged, despite its creator spending many months in the capacity of director in preparation for this. It is published here in its entirety & should any company wish to stage it the author is happy to discuss this. Accompanying the performance text is a short contextualisation of the piece.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY:  TO WEAR A GOWN OF THORNS  The first three chapters of my autobiobraphy will be posted here.. chapter One posted to date.

BUTOH

SEETHING CAULDRON (an Introduction to Butoh). Short intro. to the genre.

FIRE IN THE HEAD ... EYES IN THE SOLES OF THE FEET. Butoh as Sacred Theatre.

A 25,000 word dissertaion entitled BUTOH: A CORPSE DESPERATELY STANDING ( The Literary Influences on Hijikata Tatsumi's Ankoku Butoh) is currently being edited into shorter articles. More writings will be added to this category in due course.
